Bishop Rawstorne Church of England Academy

History

In History, our core aim is to foster a greater understanding of the world our students live in today through exploring the people and events that have shaped it. At Key Stage 3, students study a broad course incorporating the history of Britain and the wider world from the medieval period to the present day, with areas of focus including the development of the monarchy, the Atlantic Slave Trade and the global conflicts of the 20th Century. At Key Stage 4, students opting to continue their study of History to GCSE level follow the AQA GCSE History course.
