Year 8 Adventurous Geography at Blencathra in the Lake District. On Friday the 9th of May a group of 60 year 8 students and eight teaching staff set off for an adventurous weekend in the Lake District. Every second was packed with activity. In the evenings Orienteering, Geo caching and a ropes course. Saturday saw us all scrambling up a wild river, climbing waterfalls, jumping into plunge pools and swimming down rapids. In the afternoon we bravely abseiled down a rock face and with real determination climbed tricky rock faces. On Sunday we walked across the fells taking in the beautiful scenery. All had a great time and returned home in the evening exhausted but very happy with all our adventures.
