We regret to inform you that former teacher Simon Hughes passed away yesterday after a period of illness. Simon served as second-in-faculty in Design and Technology and was very popular with colleagues and students. He retired from the school in 2013. Please keep his wife Chrissie in your prayers as well as his colleagues from Design and Technology who worked closely with him.

This months edition of DITTO is now available. It has some extremely interesting articles in it. These range from an article on gaming, which also explains about ‘twitch’ which is a video platform and community for gamers. It also talks about ‘Catfishing’. Catfishing is related to a person who adopts a false persona for the purposes of deception. There is also an article by Catherine Knibbs who is a Child/Adult Trauma Therapist and Author who looks at the question ‘How many times did your children engage more with their technology than you?’ it is a worthwhile read and gives out some tips. Finally there is a section about an app called ‘HouseParty’.
